Recently designated one of the top neighborhoods in the United States, the Central West End or “The CWE” is lined with sidewalk cafes, boutiques, art galleries and bars.
At the intersection of Euclid and McPherson you will find an abundance of art galleries featuring Duane Reed Gallery, Philip Slein Gallery, and Projects + Gallery, Houska Gallery. The marvelous contemporary galleries are a must see in the CWE. The Vino Gallery is retail wine boutique and gallery located in the same area. Is there anything better than art and wine?
The same intersection on Euclid showcases a variety of local shops. You could easily get carried away with an afternoon of shopping through jewelry, antiques, furniture, and book shops. And just a few blocks away, near the World Chess Hall of Fame, you could find more great shopping including mainstream brands such as AG Jeans and Lululemon Athletica.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Enjoy the CWE’s many culinary offerings, from breakfast to dinner, the cuisine is mouthwatering. Grab bagels at Einstein Bro. Bagels and Lunch at The Tavern or Pi Pizza. And for dinner enjoy steak at Gamlin Whiskey House or indulge at Brasserie by Niche.
