Humans of Mac – KC – Ryan H.

I don’t always drink…but when I do, I drink the entire cart.

Meet Ryan: resident of Armour Park for over a year now, and valued member of the Resident Services team at Mac Properties. We are happy to have Ryan join the team and have featured him – and his apartment – in our Humans of Mac. His hard-work, humor, record collection, and personal selection of alcohol makes him a valuable addition to the team – we think the next resident event should be held at his apartment.

What is your name, and how long have you been a resident at Mac?

“My name is, Ryan Herold, and it was my one year of living at Mac Properties this February!”

What do you like to do in your free time?

A relationship needs to be built on a solid foundation…in this case, Legos.

“In my free time, I’m annoying my neighbors by learning to play the drums, and nagging my girlfriend to watch The Office for the first time.”

Describe yourself in three words.

“Bad at following directions.”

What is your biggest strength? YourWeakness?

“My biggest strength is being able to bench 300 pounds. My biggest weakness is lying about my biggest strength.”

What do you enjoy most about your apartment or living situation?

“I love the space in my apartment. We have a sun room that’s perfect for reading and listening to records.”

Tell us your favorite story from KC.

“I moved from Chicago to Kansas City, and all my Chicago friends made fun of me for wanting to follow in Dorothy’s footsteps. When they came to visit, I took them to Mills records, Up-Down and Westport. Now they understand why I want to click my heels together when I visit them in              Chicago.

What are your life goals?

“My goal in life is to be some combination of a secret agent/rock star/astronaut. Also, to travel to every continent in the world, and own a bulldog named, “Tuna”.

Tell us something interesting about your job, hobbies, talents, personal life, or charity work.

“Something interesting about being a Resident Services coordinator at Mac Properties: is I get to wear a sweet headset and pet all the resident’s dogs! Something about my personal life is: I love horror movies and concerts. I’ve seen around 300 bands live, and watch as many horror movies as I can.”

What would you like to share to the world?

“I would love to promote the app, “Handwrytten”! It’s a really cool app that allows you to send greeting cards in real pen and ink written by robots. It lets me send cards to my grandma, which is technology she understands, from my cellphone, which she does not understand.”

What would you like to say to someone looking to live in this area or in a Mac Property?

“I would tell them Mac Properties has something for everyone. There are tons of different types of apartments to fit every style and lifestyle. We’re also in a prime location, so I can walk home from Westport if Uber is surging too high.”

Through the looking glass @armourpark…
