Humans of Mac Chicago – Abigail T. at Sutherland
Meet Abigail – an upbeat and unstoppable Sutherland resident! Her strength and perseverance have seen her through a lot over the years, and now she’s achieving her goals as a Production Coordinator at Assignment Desk with TV and film projects in the works. Abigail may say she’s a procrastinator, but we’re impressed with how she thrives in her professional life while still finding the time to enjoy adventuring in Hyde Park and downtown Chicago. Abigail, thanks for bringing your positivity and bubbly spirit to Sutherland and this Humans of Mac Chicago post. We can’t wait to see you snag your first Oscar!
What is your full name and how long have you been a resident at Mac?

“I’m Abigail and I been a resident for three months.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“Write, ride my bike when it’s nice out, listen to music and sing like the world is watching.”
Describe yourself in three words.
“Child of God.”
What is your biggest strength? Weakness?
“Biggest strength is staying positive. Weakness procrastinating.”
What do you enjoy most about your apartment or living situation?
“My apartment is the ideal type of modern apartment. It has just about all the amenities anyone can ask for. The only thing missing is a rooftop pool.”
What do like most about Hyde Park or Chicago?
“I can literally ride my bike anywhere in my neighborhood and do just about everything. I can eat fast food or fine dining, I can go see a movie or go to an art gallery. There are at least three buses that go right downtown.”
What are your life goals?
“To own my own entertainment production company.”
Tell us something interesting about your job, hobbies, talents, personal life, or charity work.
“I work for Judge Mathis and I book crews for Maury, NFL, Rachael Ray, Fox Sports, etc.”
What would you like to promote or share to the world? This can be anything; a belief, a business, a charity, a thought…
“I use to work in Human Resources as a FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) benefits specialist and had cancer at 25 years old and a mini-stroke at 27. I quit my full-time job to work my part-time career two days a week every other week. I am now a Production Coordinator and I am in love with my life. I say ‘Your happiness defines your health’ and I am happy to be healthy.”
What would you like to say to someone looking to live in this area or at Mac Properties?
“Come on, let me show you the way.”
