Opening in August at Broadway and Armour, Citizens of the World Charter Schools – Kansas City (CWC Kansas City) is a tuition-free, public charter school open to all residents of Kansas City. The mission of CWC Kansas City is to provide an excellent public education focused on developing and demonstrating understanding while building connections within a diverse community. CWC Kansas City is the first school to be sponsored by the Missouri Charter Public School Commission. CWC Kansas City will open in the Midtown Kansas City area in 2016 with grades Kindergarten-1st. Their goal is to establish a full K-12 school system in Midtown Kansas City by the 2027-28 school year.
