Humans of Mac – Joshua Williams on Fitness and Life

Joshua has been an awesome resident at Clyde Manor for about five months. He has a passion for fitness and, specifically, making the best out of what you have. Joshua uses the Clyde Manor fitness room as his primary gym and gets creative with his workouts. Many would think that apartment gyms don’t have enough machines to be functional, but his goal is to show people how valuable it can be, especially being just an elevator ride away. How long have you been a resident at Mac? 5 months

 

Where you from and what are brought you to KC, or why have you stayed in KC?My family originally all hale from here. As my big sis says,”KC is a little secret”.

 

What do you like to do in your free time? – You can find me in the workout room.

 

What would you say your apartment style is? My proprietary blend of  contemporary with little glimpses of Old World here and there.

 

What do you enjoy most about living your Mac Building? It’s nice and quiet.

 

Tell us something interesting about your job, personal life, and/or charity work. – Exercise routines are not a one-size-fits-all type of thing and understanding the methods behind the workout madness can be daunting. On my blog, www.jwilliamstrains.com  I try and give, “Practical advice for practical people”.  By the way, my favorite cheat meal is onion rings, so if you know where some really good ones are, please let me know.

 

What attracted you into the field that you are studying or working in? There is work, and there is passion. It isn’t work if it’s your passion.

 

What would you say is the most difficult part of your day to day ? Rome wasn’t built in a day, so you just start at the top of the list and work your way down.

 

What would you say to anyone who you are servicing or looking to use your training services? It isn’t about not having the time. It’s about making the time. I would also say if you believe your workout room limited, don’t. I know how to get very creative.

What would you like to promote or share to the world and the residents of KC? Share as many details as possible!The ancient Greeks obsessed about being fit. They believed a strong body equaled a strong mind. So do I.

 

What would you say to someone looking to live in this area? Help keep it clean!
